Gas/engine oil Mix

Your gas powered engine requires a mixture of gasoline and engine oil to operate. The quality of the gasoline and oil is extremely important to the running and life of the engine.

Unsuitable fuels or mix ratios that do not comply with the specification can seriously damage the engine (piston seizing, excessive wear.). For optimal performance we recommend STIHL Premium 50:1 mix engine oil available at Zdeno Cycle.

We recommend the following mix ratio:

for STIHL Premium two-stroke engine oil 1:50:
1:50 => 1 part oil + 50 parts high-octane gasoline

STIHL Premium two-stroke engine oil comes in individual bottles of 100ml, 200ml, 500ml and 1000ml (1 L).

Here are some examples on how to get a perfect 50:1 mix:

– 1 bottle of 100ml STIHL Premium two-stroke engine oil + 5 L high octane gasoline
OR
– 1 bottle of 200ml STIHL Premium two-stroke engine oil + 10 L high octane gasoline
OR
– 1 bottle of 500ml STIHL Premium two-stroke engine oil + 25 L high octane gasoline

Examples of mixing proportions

Mixing ratios

For a mixing ratio of 1 : 50 you need 5 litres of high-octane gas and 0.10 litres (100 ml) of STIHL two-stroke oil.

To mix the fuel, first pour the engine oil and then the gas into a suitable can approved for use with fuel. Before pouring this mix into the fuel tank, first mix it thoroughly by shaking the can. Take care when opening the can as pressure may have built up inside.
